Where can I park?

There are 984 spaces in total, providing a car parking ratio of 1:285 sq ft. There are also 14 visitors spaces and 10 disabled spaces directly in front of the building. Please note the landlord reserves the right to charge for additional spaces.

Where can I go to get my lunch?

Shortly there will be a café/bar located within 1000 Lakeside in the atrium on the ground floor.  It is due to open in summer 2008.  However until this facility is launched there will be a ‘basket service’ provided for snacks & lunch.

Alternatively there is a Tesco supermarket just across the road and Port Solent Marina has a variety of restaurants and amenities including Café Uno, Olivo, Surf Grill Shack and The Mermaid.

How green is the building?

1000 Lakeside has a number of “Green” attributes including;

	The atrium includes a passive heat ventilation system using free cooling in summer months
	The atrium is double glazed.
	The building has a state of the art BMS (Building Management System) & zonal temperature controls.
	The carpet installed is a BRE (Building Research Establishment) “A” rated product which has the highest classification for reducing the environmental impact from manufacturing.
	Both our carpet and ceiling tile manufacturer will also take back used tiles and re-cycle rather than going to landfill.
	LED lamps are used within the lifts, which are more energy efficient, producing less heat than halogen lamps.
	Frequently used areas e.g. corridors, rest rooms, walkways through open areas of offices and stairwells that are not occupied at all times,  use sensor controlled lighting, allowing for a reduction in lighting when the area is not in use.  The occupancy detectors are set for periods of time to allow movement through.
	The overall energy for the building is less than the original building and hence carbon emissions will be reduced echoing the spirit of new operating styles.
