#workwell kicked off with an on-Campus seminar on Friday 26th April, which welcomed over 30 campus staff and senior managers responsible for HR, health, safety and wellbeing. Speakers included Emily Pountney, Vice Principal – Curriculum, Teaching & Learning for Portsmouth College who has developed a comprehensive wellbeing strategy for staff, and Sarah Blake, Health & Safety Training Advisor from PETA Training & Consultancy who discussed the company’s Mental Health First Aid course. Mental health first aid is becoming an important focus for many businesses to help protect the wellbeing of staff.
The #workwell initiative will offer a range of free classes for Lakeside occupiers during May and June, including Laughing Yoga, SingForce, Kamilla Yoga and TABATA fitness classes with ITri Coaching. Other free activities include a Segway Day, Stand Up Paddleboarding and Kayaking on the lake.

Wellbeing in the workplace is a key theme for us this summer and we’ve created an exciting and varied programme to help improve the physical and mental wellbeing for all those who work here at Lakeside.”
The #workwell initiative will also include free sports events, walks, talks, seminars, classes and activities designed to encourage occupiers to make the most of the many amenities and facilities on Lakeside North Harbour’s Campus.
