With Easter on the horizon, and the sun shining on us, we’re celebrating nature this Spring. And we’re celebrating all the parents who are juggling home working and home schooling too!
So this Easter, we have an eggciting competition for your children to get stuck into (and hopefully give you 10 minutes to catch up on your emails)!
We want to see eggs come to life, decorated as animals, flowers or birds.
Whether the kids choose to decorate an actual egg, colour in a template, or create their own design from scratch, there are no rules – so let the creativity go wild!
Simply email a picture of your family’s wildest creation to firstname.lastname@example.org by Thursday 9th April. We’ll be picking our favourite design and sending a very special Easter prize to the winner.
So, what’s wild about Lakeside?
At Lakeside our insect wildlife conservation areas buzz with life, with ladybirds, bees, honey bees and butterflies collecting nectar and dragonflies and damselflies darting across the lake or basking in the afternoon sunshine.
Coots and moorhens swim along with their young, alongside tufted ducks, mallards and Canada geese. You can even spot herons on the lookout for a fish or two!
