With our photographic competition running until the end of October, we thought it would be timely to share some of the entries already received to get your creative juices flowing. There is still plenty of time to enter so get snapping!
Having enjoyed a long hot summer, we have seen lots of outdoor shots and landscape pictures and our resident geese must be amongst the most famous geese in the world having been snapped repeatedly in and out of the water. But as the nights start to draw in, the opportunity to take advantage of the changing light may still offer the for that winning picture. Cold air, long low sunsets and the changing face of the landscape is sure to present some amazing vistas.
Looking through the entries to date, we have noticed that we seem to have 4000 incredibly shy people based on the campus. It can’t possibly be so…! If you have not already entered a team shot or taken some reportage pics in and around the office, then now is the time. We’d love to see more of you at work. And for those that have splashed out on office interiors this is the chance for you to show it off to the world (and prospective employees!).
If you don’t count yourself amongst the world’s top photographers, but do fall into the ‘keen but unaccomplished’ category, then why not have a read of Bill’s top tips to get you thinking about how to set up and take that all-important winning shot.
Remember, we’re looking for images that show life at Lakeside in all its glory. That may be in the office with the team, landscapes, scenery, sunsets, wildlife or even a fun selfie around campus – whatever you think encapsulates life at Lakeside.
A billboard position and a GoPro await the winner, so next time you think ‘wow! that would make a great picture’, stop, grab your mobile device or camera and get it snapped.
