We are delighted to be joined by Emily Pountney, Vice Principal Curriculum, Teaching & Learning for Portsmouth College who, following a Wellbeing Day for colleagues in October 2017, developed a comprehensive Wellbeing Strategy. During her presentation she will share how they went about it, where they are now and what further developments they are planning.
In addition, we welcome Sarah Blake, Health & Safety Training Advisor from PETA Training & Consultancy who will briefly guide us through their Mental Health First Aid course.
Trained Mental Health First Aiders are able to recognise the main signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide initial help guiding the person towards appropriate professional help.
Mental Health First Aid is currently at the very forefront of the business agenda and its resonance is growing rapidly. PETA see this as a vitally important component of their business as they strive to offer the relevant skills to recognise, support and guide their staff towards mental health wellbeing.
Wellbeing in the workplace is a key theme for us this Summer and we’ve created an exciting and fun programme to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of Campus clients.
The event programme is packed full of FREE activities including Walks, Talks, Seminars and Classes taking place across the whole Campus, utilising existing facilities and amenities and, in addition, introducing new experiences to encourage Occupiers to get out from behind their desk and have a healthier and more active day at work!
